TLS Tunnel is a VPN service designed to overcome internet restrictions imposed by both service providers and governments, with a focus on providing users with enhanced privacy, freedom, and anonymity.

The service utilizes an in-house protocol called TLSVPN on its official servers. This protocol leverages TLS 1.3 (and optionally TLS 1.2) to safeguard connections similar to the security mechanisms employed by HTTPS sites. Notably, the servers employ self-signed certificates verified during connection initiation to mitigate potential interception risks.

No registration or payment is necessary to use TLS Tunnel, only a functional internet connection or the ability to bypass provider restrictions if access issues arise.

Additionally, users have the option of configuring their private servers through SSH (Private Server option). This can be achieved through the standard method using port 22 (SSH default), or employing a connection text and SNI for servers capable of receiving such connections.

While the official servers support the passage of any IPv4 protocol, private servers via SSH only allow TCP traffic; enablement of UDP traffic necessitates running a UDP Gateway like badvpn-udpgw. Without UDP connectivity, users may encounter limitations accessing certain online games or services.

Moreover, official servers permit user-to-user communication via generated IPs, enabling interaction within the server environment. By default, this feature is disabled as a security precaution against potential vulnerabilities.

It's essential to note that TLS Tunnel operates on a complimentary basis. However, users looking for access to third-party servers through the Private Server option may choose to pay for this service. It's important to understand that TLS Tunnel does not assume responsibility for private servers. In case of issues encountered with private server operations, users are advised to directly contact the respective server owner.
